      Vittoria per Matteo Berrettini nella prima giornata del torneo di esibizione Thiem’s 7 (terra).L’azzurro ha sconfitto Denis Novak con il risultato di 76 (7) 63 dopo 1 ora e 41 minuti di partita.
      Da segnalare che Berrettini nel primo set sul 4 a 5, 15-40, ha annullato tre palle set con il servizio a disposizione prima di vincere il tiebreak per 9 punti a 7.

      Nel secondo set l’azzurro brekkava l’austriaco nel secondo game (a 30 dal 30-15) e poi non aveva problemi nei restanti quattro turni di battuta conquistando la frazione e la partita per 6 a 3.

      Thiem’s Seven: Ecco i due gruppi. 100 mila euro al vincitore

      Il Thiem’s 7, è un torneo di esibizione che riunisce sette tennisti, oltre a Thiem su invito del numero tre del mondo e prende il via oggi sui campi in terra di Kitzbuhel, in Austria.Kitzbuhel famosa per le sue piste da sci, ospita questo torneo organizzato dal tennista di casa. Dominic Thiem si è assicurato un cast di lusso per poter giocare di nuovo a livello agonistico e rivedere alcuni dei suoi amici del circuito. Da qui il nome del torneo che si riferisce ai 7 tennisti “amici” che Thiem ha invitato a giocare.

      Con un formato simile alle Finals ATP, con due gruppi, il torneo avrà sessioni diurne e notturne che distribuiranno complessivamente 300 mila euro, di cui 100 mila per il vincitore. L’evento avrà anche la presenza di pubblico sugli spalti, anche se in numero ridotto, limitato a 500 persone per sessione.

      Il torneo di esibizione ‘Thiem’s 7’ inizierà questo martedì e per ora lo scenario è molto incoraggiante, dato che l’intera squadra che parteciperà all’evento è risultata negativa al Covid-19.
      Dominic Thiem ha già parlato ed è molto soddisfatto del torneo:

      “E’ fantastico essere tornato. Sono contento di rivedere gli altri giocatori. Non vedo la maggior parte di loro da marzo dal torneo di Indian Wells che poi fu annullato”, ha dichiarato
      Il torneo ‘Thiem’s 7’ inizierù domani per concludersi il prossimo 11 luglio.Il torneo si disputerà in Austria.
