Il nuovo centrale della Romeo Sorrento è Preslav Petkov. Nato in Bulgaria nel 2003, altezza 208 cm. In questi giorni è impegnato nella VNL con la propria nazionale allenata da Gianlorenzo Blengini.

Come stai, e perchè hai deciso di firmare per Sorrento?
Sto bene, ho visto i tifosi di Sorrento e soprattutto conosco il professionismo qui. La scelta non è stata difficile.
Hai giocato anche con l’Italia, quali sono le tue sensazioni nella VNL?
Ho giocato contro l’Italia ed è stata una grande esperienza giocare contro giocatori forti.
E’ la prima stagione fuori dalla tua nazione, cosa ne pensi della Serie A2 e che tipo di centrale sei?
Ho seguito il campionato italiano di A2 anche l’anno scorso, quindi so che è molto imprevedibile ed emozionante. Schiacciata o muro? Adoro entrambe, ma penso che il muro sia la mia abilità migliore. Se la domanda è: 23:23 muro o attacco, di sicuro il muro è semplicemente più bello, ahahah
Quali sono i tuoi obiettivi adesso?
Il mio obiettivo a lungo termine è giocare a pallavolo ai massimi livelli. Il mio obiettivo per questa stagione è vincere il maggior numero possibile di partite e rendere orgogliosi i nostri tifosi.

How are you and why did you decide to sign for Sorrento?
I am very good and I saw Sorrento’s fans and base I know about the professionalism here and that wasn’t a hard choice.
You also played against Italy which are the your sensations in VNL now?
Yeah I play against Italy and that was great experience to play against such a great players.
It’s your first season outside your country what do you think about A2 Italian Championship and the kind of middle blocker you are?
I followed the A2 Italian Championship also last year so I know it’s very unpredictable and exciting. Spike or block? I love both but I think the block is my best skill. If the question is: 23:23 block or attack for sure block it’s just better feeling hahahah
What are your carrier goals now?
My long term goal is to play volleyball at the highest level. My goal for this season is to win as most matches as possible and make our fan’s proud.
